General FAQs

What is the battery made of?

The internal and external batteries in all the NIPPY products made after 2007 are made from lithium ion. This includes all the + range. Before this time, batteries were made from less portable materials such as nickel hydride and lead acid.

Can I fly with the NIPPY battery?

Yes, all of our current products are flight safe.

How often do the internal and external batteries in the NIPPY range require to be changed?

For the NIPPY + range, every 18-36 months depending on usage.

How do I check the autonomy of the internal and external battery?

This can only be done acurately on the NIPPY + range. Press the set button twice, and a window will appear on the LCD which will show much battery life you will have, based the current settings and charge.

When my NIPPY is in use, which power source will be used?

The NIPPY + range is designed to auto-switch from main power source to the external battery the internal battery.

In which order does the NIPPY+ range charge the batteries?

The Nippy + range is designed to auto-switch from main power source to the external battery and then the internal battery.

How can I carry my NIPPY battery?

There is a mobility bag available which means that your NIPPY ventilator and battery can be transported together, conveniently and safely.
